Zushi, about an hour by JR from Tokyo, is a neighbour of Kamakura, a popular tourist destination.

Located about 15 minutes by car from Zushi Station, SCAPES THE SUITE is a quality resort hotel right on the beach.

All rooms are suites and this time we had the largest room called “SAXE BLUE”. The living room and bedroom are separated, so you can spend a comfortable time with your companion who sleeps at different times.

From the front window, you can see the Shonan Sea and Mt. Please sit on a chair on the veranda and enjoy the sunrise or sunset.

In the rooms, you will find many little touches to make you feel at home, such as the presence of local specialty coffee beans and an iPod playing music.

In addition to coffee, alcohol and mineral water are available in the guest rooms, and I particularly enjoyed the Ponkan juice from Mucha-en! The only ingredient is Ponkan (citrus fruit). The taste of the rich, sweet ponkan, squeezed as it is, is superb.

On the second floor there is a library with books carefully selected by the concierge. You can also bring books to your room to read at your leisure.

Breakfast will be brought to your room. You can choose from eggs benedict, pot-au-feu, etc. for your main course, and they use local ingredients and products. The croissants from Bredor in the neighboring town of Hayama were delicious!

There is a Jacuzzi bathroom on the fourth floor of the hotel that can be reserved for private use by reservation. Drinks and desserts are available and can be enjoyed while bathing in the two Jacuzzis.

After warming up, we walk around the neighborhood. On the beach, neighbors walk their dogs and some enjoy water sports.

Morito Shrine is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel, so be sure to cross the Misogibashi Bridge that leads from the beach to get there.

Morito Shrine is a well-known place of power in Kanagawa Prefecture, offering prayers for good fortune, easy childbirth, fertility, family safety, prosperous business, traffic safety, love fulfillment, and protection from water hazards.
